The Linksys DM2200 works with a PC equipped with Microsoft Windows Vista Premium or Ultimate Media Center and supports all the most popular digital media file formats, including all popular photo and audio formats, DivX/Xvid movie files, right up to cutting edge high definition video formats such as Windows Media Video HD. It removes the need for those annoying trailing cables with its built-in support for the Wireless-N home network standard, to give blazingly fast speeds allowing the streaming HD video.
The Linksys DMA2200 has all the great features of the DMA2100, but adds a built-in upscaling DVD player (720p, 1080i, 1080p), ensuring that users have the added convenience of being able to also use the Media Center Extender as a best of breed DVD/CD movie and audio player.
The sleek design with a black finish, has a front-loading drawer for discs, four input buttons, a scart connection, DVD function buttons and a small display screen for track information.
